The idea was to take close up abstract portraits of vegetables. While at the grocery stores I had many weird looks and a few people actually asked me what I was doing, even a store manager! After mis-developing the film, retaking all the pictures, wrestling with more than one enlarger, and organizing the prints the project has finally come together. I think this is one of my most favorite pieces of work. I love the images, the lack of color, the slight blur, the high contrast, extreme depth of field and all the beauty in between. I love these vegetables!
